A few days before beginning of 2023, we had an interview with Çağlayan Özbek who is Menatek Quality Manager and we took a look to Corporate Culture of Menatek Defense Technologies from the perspective of the 'Quality Department'.  We would like to thank to Çağlayan Özbek for informing us about our quality process and discipline and for this enjoyful interview!

• Ms. Özbek, could you briefly tell us about yourself and your role at Menatek Defense Technologies?
I am a mechanical engineer. In 2003, I graduated from Kocaeli University. In 2007, I completed my master's degree in Business Management at Yıldız Technical University.
Since 2004, I have worked in Quality units in various companies, especially in the automotive supply industry.
I am currently working as Quality Manager at Menatek.

•       Ms. Özbek, could you briefly tell us about yourself and your role at Menatek Defense Technologies?

Since 2004, I have worked in Quality units in various companies, especially in the automotive supply industry.

I am currently working as Quality Manager at Menatek.

• How long have you been working at Menatek and how do you think it feels to be a Menatek employee?
In April 2022, I joined the Menatek family.
It is a joy to work as an engineer at Menatek. In each project, we discover a different product and production method, and we can transfer all the experience we have. Each day, we gain new experiences that will improve both ourselves and our company.
In addition, Menatek, unlike other companies I have worked for and know; has a structure that respects and supports diversity and equity, accepts people as they are, brings out their strengths, and continuously contributes to their development.
Thanks to this approach, all my colleagues and I have achieved a very good synergy. We complete difficult projects together and have a lot of fun while fulfilling our responsibilities.
I consider myself lucky to be a member of the Menatek team.

• Could you tell us about the importance of the Quality Department for Menatek?
We can say that the year 2022 was one of the milestones in Menatek's history, as our founder Kazım Ünal passed away.  
Under the leadership of Naz Ünal and Mehmet Ünal, who took over the flag that he proudly passed on, we are creating a structure that protects, continuously improves and ensures the sustainability of the Menatek Quality System, which has been firmly established and developed with devotion.
Menatek is a pioneering organization that has achieved many firsts in the sector. 
A quality team that can manage different disciplines together and whose technical and systematic competencies are advanced plays a key role in raising the bar even higher.


• Could you tell us a bit about your operations in the Quality Department?
By implementing the Total Quality Management philosophy, with the participation of all employees, we determine Menatek's strategic goals, reshape all processes and plan activities that support the main goals.
In addition to the development and integration processes related to management systems, we continue to collect and analyze the necessary data for the establishment of "Menatek Standards".
We are conducting initiatives to increase the quality awareness of our strategic solution partners.
All these efforts will begin to pay off by the end of 2023.
